CNTR’s Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee
The term DEI—diversity, equity, and inclusion—is more widely used, but our organization has decided to use EDI—putting equity first. CNTR’s EDIC is responsible for:
- Ensuring that issues related to E/D/I are addressed within both CNTR and the trauma research community
- Advising the CNTR Board of Directors and Scientific Advisory Committee to ensure that all aspects of E/D/I are considered in the development of research proposals and grant applications
- Developing a mentorship program for underrepresented minority investigators interested in clinical trauma research

The CNTR EDIC is a group of individuals who are passionate about trauma, research, and equity. We want to support a diverse group of trauma researchers to help tackle important clinical research objectives and also aim to reduce the disparities that currently exist in trauma care.
