- Explore new funding opportunities. MTEC’s FY26 call for proposals spans 15 focus areas, including wound infections, sepsis, pain and musculoskeletal injuries. Proposals are due October 30.
- Follow a major neurotrauma initiative. The BRIDGE project has launched, connecting U.S. and Ukrainian research efforts to build resources and investigate biomarkers for penetrating brain injury.
- Put patient voices in the spotlight. CNTR Injury Research Engagement Panel member Kelly Lang received a scholarship to attend PCORI’s annual meeting, continuing her work to advance patient-centered research.
- Turn data into discovery. Join CNTR’s September 30 webinar at 1 p.m. CT to explore how burn and trauma databases can inform research, quality improvement and future clinical trials.
- Act before the NTRR closes. September 30 is the deadline to apply for data access and download shared datasets. CNTR’s common data elements remain available to support consistent data collection.
- Connect with the trauma and burn care community. Read about CNTR’s new presence at San Antonio’s VelocityTX, the September 23–25 Burn Surgeon Forum and the October 1 abstract deadline for the ABA 2027 Annual Meeting.
- Make the case for medical research. The September 17 Rally for Medical Research Hill Day brings advocates together to champion sustained NIH investment.
