NURSE EDUCATION MODULE
Dauryne Shaffer, Nurse Educator for the Johns Hopkins Medicine VTE Collaborative, reviews the deployment of the CLOTT 3 patient education bundle in response to a notification of a missed dose of venous thromboembolism (VTE) prophylaxis. This video reviews many of the issues that may be contributing to missed doses and offer best practice interventions, where to access the patient education bundle (paper handout and video), and offers recommendations to enable a patient to receive the best VTE prophylaxis they are willing to take.
